Show your organization’s support for the next generation of scientists by sponsoring the ASBMB Career Expo.

About the event

The STEM career landscape is constantly changing, with more biochemistry and molecular biology graduate students and postdocs eyeing careers outside of academia. 

The ASBMB Virtual Career Expo aims to demystify the journey from academia to industry and other sectors and highlight the diversity of career choices available to modern biomedical scientists. This virtual event will provide a plethora of career options to explore while simultaneously connecting attendees with knowledgeable professionals in these careers.

Each 60-minute session will focus on a different career path and will feature breakout rooms with a range of professionals in those paths. Attendees can choose to meet in a small group with a single professional for the entire session or move freely between breakout rooms to sample advice from multiple professionals. 

This event is free, but registration is required. The 2022 expo attracted more than 200 attendees.

Sessions will feature the following five sectors: government, science communication, science and health policy, pharma and biotech.
