Success in graduate school in the biomedical sciences continues to depend on the application of technical skills to a defined research question resulting in publications in peer-reviewed journals. However, there are other skills that graduate students need to acquire to fully prepare themselves for life after graduation. This webinar will emphasize the importance of five key areas of professional development to prepare graduates to take advantage of job opportunities in academia and beyond: 1) self-reflection, 2) skills development, 3) mentorship and networking, 4) career exploration and 5) wellness.
