Supporting the next generation of scientists

The ASBMB encourages federal agencies and lawmakers to do more to support students and postdoctoral researchers so that the U.S. can produce and retain the talent it needs to remain competitive globally.

The society advocates for fair wages, benefits and student loan relief so that graduate students and postdocs need not delay major life milestones, such as homeownership and starting a family, while doing their critically important research.

The next generation of scientists should have every opportunity to do great work and to be fulfilled both professionally and personally.
